United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Belarus in cooperation with the national partner - the Economic Research Institute of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus are finalizing the National Human Development Report (NHDR) for 2015.

The report presents the results of a comparative analysis of the socio-economic and environmental context in the region as well as the index of regional competitiveness developed for the first time by national experts. NHDR identifies economic and social "points of growth" and offers recommendations for national and regional governments on the integrated development of the territories, which ensures the realization of their competitive advantages; and on improving the efficiency of regional economies and reducing disparities in the level and quality of life of the regional population of the republic.

Herein we present the Executive Summary of the National Human Development Report. The full report will be presented in December 2015.
